Music of Spiritual Places: Holy Thorns Protecting a Sacred Site.

There are many places in our world that have special meaning to us. The wonderment of those places can be connected to music that was played long ago, and may remain in our spirit today.

This is a cactus fence that is protecting a sacred site.  Fences like this one, made from the ocotillo cactus, can be found in the American southwest.

Music of Spiritual Places: Terraces in the Sacred Valley

There are many places in our world that have special meaning to us.  The wonderment of those places is often connected to a form of music that was played long ago, and possibly remains in our mind today.

This huge terrace is located in Pisac, Peru. It was built by the Inca by toting fertile soil from lower lands up the steep mountainside. The angled formation of the terraces was probably built to accommodate the changing seasons.

Om Namah Shivaya

10862994298?profile=original

One of my favorite activities as a musician is to record in the studio.
I love the alchemy of the tracks that follow one after the other giving the light something new. And I love the atmosphere of care and respect that you breathe, as if we were in an operating room facing a delicate surgery.
On the morning of 11 January 2015 my brother Fulvio and I found ourselves at sy6studio for a session and this energetic version of the Mantra Om Namah Shivaya came out.
I Thank the Existence to could still enjoy the beautiful game of the composition and I invite you to listen to it , wishing you to benefit like me, of the Magic of Music.

A New Year!

Hello to you all,

I believe I joined a year ago, but one of my new year resolutions is to connect more with those who share a love for music with me and start working on writing more music. This forum is the place to do that!

I hope to connect with many of you here and find inspiration and encouragement.

The last 2 years I worked on writing a song for a friend's indie Film, Shades of Darkness. The song is called Nepenthe and I uploaded it here. This is the first song I've written AND completed. It was a good challenge and I grew a lot from it. I look forward to writing some more. :)

I also work in the art administrative world and hope to pursue a certification in being a music presenter this year. I love discovering new music and sharing my findings with others, so I know I'll enjoy exploring all your music here on the forum! Currently, just an office manager, but you have to start somewhere, right? ;)

So "Hi" and I look forward to getting to know you through your music and our exchanges here.

Peace,

Joannah
