I'm glad to meet new friends everywhere I go and online too....It's always cool to hear where people are at with their musical tastes and desires.I have so much new music coming out, it's challenging to keep up, but I will begin by saying one of my favorites is my new age album DESERT SEAS. I released this collection October 2008 and being a DIY artist, it has taken some time to get to promoting, and getting it out their, other than the usual myspace and radio station distribution. But I am beginning to promote all over the world now via various outlets and it feels good.I am in the process of releasing an early Fleetwood Mac cover album that is so very special too.A MISS KRISTIN MAC ATTACK is this months release and I am preparing it to go up on iTunes, so you should be able to purchase by the holiday shopping rush. You may also purchase the music now directly from my website at http://misskristin.com and you may listen and buy A MISS KRISTIN MAC ATTACK by going to http://myspace.com/misskristinmacattack .In June 2009, I released my patriotic collection MARCH ON. I spent the whole summer promoting and shipping the music to radio, doing my best to get it out there. It is always a busy time around my place of business, because I love what I do and it does not feel so much like work, but a good and great way of life. One thing I can say about the larger amount of music to distribute is that is gets expensive and I live very frugally in order to pull it off! I do things myself like pedicures and haircuts, (I am a licensed hairdresser) and sometimes I barter for things I need. I find this helps me attain things that are extra expenses like ipods, hard drives, musical instruments, etc., so as to save money for the promotion of the music. What I believe about being a DIY artist, is that the music propagates more gradually over time and has a lasting ability. So with these three releases, I will be extending for exposure over the next few years and then I believe they will go far by word of mouth to comfort and bring goodness to the listener. Lasting long after I cross over to the other side of life. So, like a music making machine of true love my intentions are to continue releasing my large catalog for the years to come. My next release FREE is in production and I hope to release it in the spring of 2010.Please stay tuned into my music and listen on...I love to create and I do it all for you and the pleasure it brings me to give.

If, as an artist, you aren't yet aware of Airplay Direct's digital delivery system of broadcast quality music to radio, I encourage you to visit their website and sign up. (The first three downloads are free to all Artists.)While talking with Robert Weingartz last week, CEO and Founder of Airplay Direct, he gave me some wonderful news. Laurie Z. has been charting in the "Top 50 All Time" Releases in downloads at Airplay Direct on their New Global Radio Charts! From the beginning Robert has strongly supported our efforts in perpetuating Laurie's musical legacy. We signed on with Robert when he first started Airplay Direct, adding Laurie's music for broadcast quality digital delivery to radio. Airplay Direct now plays a major role in all our marketing efforts & words cannot express how grateful we are for Robert's ongoing support. Robert has steadily grown Airplay Direct in just a few years to a roster of over 20,000 artists. (Dolly Parton now delivers her music to radio exclusively through Airplay Direct.)Airplay Direct recently upgraded their platform, adding new "Global Radio Charts", covering the "Top 50 Tracks" and "Top 50 Releases." The Charts are based on the number of downloads and sorted into four categories - "Top Today", "This Week", "This Month" and "All Time." Laurie has held slot 24 out of 50 - This is in the company of top charting artists like Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Robert Plant & Allison Krause. Laurie is currently holding at 47. http://airplaydirect.com/charts/top50releases.phpThe DPK's have been particularly helpful in perpetuating Laurie's musical legacy and since Airplay Direct launched it's new platform a few weeks ago, the DPK's are even better.Robert is very supportive of the Independent and encourages you to contact him directly if you have questions at rdw@airplaydirect.com . Be sure to tell him Janet at WorldSound Productions referred you!Warm regards,Janethttp://www.WorldSoundProductions.comhttp://www.LaurieZ.com

Between releasing my own music and programming music at my personal radio broadcast at Live365 I have been real busy to say the least. The listener audience has increased this year, and continues to do so thanks to having been picked as a featured station at Live365 in the soundtracks and classical music section. Listeners in the U.S. often tune in (it appears) during work hours throughout the week.A growing batch of listeners are pleased with the rare mix of select modern classical, ambient music, and film scores. I listen to hours of music in selecting which pieces to present to my listeners, some of whom are new to classical music.Changes made, I no longer accept unsolicited ,unreleased material from independent artists. I usually find great music amongst my Myspace artist friends or here at the Circle.because airplay royalties are involved I prefer artists whose music is available publicly at the major online retailers (for the purpose of adding links to their product) and who are members of the major performing rights (BMI,ASCAP,etc.)Will be looking for new music this Labor Day weekend on Myspace and here on the Circle.Tune in if you can,Ken Myers,Nightvision Classical at Live365.comhttp://www.live365.com/stations/kentonkd?site=live365

Last weekend was spent at the Museum of Making Music, http://www.museumofmakingmusic.org/. New Moog exhibit in place. Bob Moog's daughter was there (Michelle Moog-Koussa ), Keith Emerson, Larry Fast, Eric Norlander, Brian Kehew and The Volt Per Octaves. http://www.museumofmakingmusic.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=255&Itemid=4&limit=1&limitstart=1 gives the overview. My wife has several interviews and articles on the event. As soon as she is done, I will update with a link to where to find them. She writes for several e-zines.Most notable for me? I was given the opportunity to hand Larry Fast a copy of our CD. We had called his name in the liner notes among a few who we gave credit for the muse for it. Every name in the liner note has a copy, given by hand. Only one name remains. JM Jarre. We think that will happen before year's end.http://www.search.com/reference/Larry_Fast a link for Larry Fast.
